COVID-19 emergency medical and related expenses are now covered as a benefit under Emergency Medical.
Insurance, if you were to test positive for and are diagnosed with COVID-19 while on your trip.
The COVID-19 benefit is only applicable if you've followed the COVID-19 vaccine protocols outlined by your provincial/territorial Health Authority before leaving on your trip, and:
Have been partially vaccinated, at least 14 days before departure If available to you, you've received or scheduled any subsequent vaccine doses
Note: Coverage is also provided if you aren’t yet eligible for a vaccine due to age.

If you’re unvaccinated or have only received your first dose less than 14 days before departure, you can still buy Emergency Medical Insurance, but you'll need to add the COVID-19 Insurance—Unvaccinated plan.
COVID-19 Insurance— Unvaccinated is a separate plan that you can purchase with either Single Trip Worldwide, Single Trip Worldwide Excluding USA, or Multi Trip Annual Worldwide Emergency Medical plans.
